Curtis Jones - RIP

Curtis Jones, a remarkable figure of the Prague underground, passed away on 11th of June. Funeral service is on Friday 26.06. 2009 at 3.P.M. - Large Ceremonial Hall Crematory Strašnice (google maps link). Continue at Chapeau Rouge bar (google maps link), both in Prague. (thanks to Erika for this information). Memorial - Saturday, July 25, from early afternoon in Prague (place to be specified later)

A beloved eccentric who epitomized Prague's post-communist era. He was a fixture on the nightclub scene, an artist of life in his own right. He knew Jimi Hendrix and Roman Polanski. Curtis Jones was a very good friend of mine, we even lived together in Prague in the early 90ies and now i'm reading this. I'm shocked and very sad coz I tried to find him some months ago thru another friend who still lives in Prague. I'm in Düsseldorf, Germany now and I would like to know more about his passing. So our darling passed on... I always imagined he would die high on ex in the arms of some young dreamboy.... Please, anyone know where the funeral is and when or if it already happened? Please post data here!!!!! I would love to come with friends from Holland - one last sad parting party with Curtis, with whom we danced all nite just a few months back ...
